IT that understands your industry

The fundamentals of Microsoft cloud, security and support are the same everywhere. What changes is the pressure: legacy production systems, regulated data, confidentiality, safeguarding, big-file workflows. Here's how we help the industries we know best.

Sector specialism in IT is claimed far more often than it exists, so it is worth saying what it means here. The platform is the same in all nine: Microsoft 365 and Azure, identity and Conditional Access, managed devices, backup that has actually been restored, and a service desk. What changes is which constraint the design has to bend around. In manufacturing it is equipment that cannot be patched on anybody else’s schedule. In legal, accountancy and insurance it is a regulator or a client security questionnaire setting the evidence you have to produce. In education it is a published set of standards and a budget that is publicly scrutinised. In media it is file sizes and a rotating cast of freelancers on their own kit.

Industries we work in

How you buy changes the cost

How you buy changes the cost of the same estate, and in education it changes it most. Schools, colleges and trusts license through Microsoft’s education agreements rather than the commercial ones, and the route matters as much as the tier: Enrollment for Education Solutions normally needs 1,000 qualified users, while the Chest agreement run by Jisc brings that minimum down to 100 and puts it within reach of far more single schools and small trusts.

Elsewhere the buying route is somebody else’s paperwork. In manufacturing, professional services and accountancy, Cyber Essentials or a client security questionnaire now arrives with a tender or a contract renewal rather than after it, which sets both the scope and the deadline before anyone has costed the work.

That is why these pages are worth reading rather than skipping to the services. Each one names the constraint, says what we would do about it first, and says plainly where you do not need us. Pick the page that matches the problem you are actually stuck on rather than the label on your Companies House record, and if none of them fit, the fundamentals still apply and the assessment is the same either way.
