What are cookies?
A cookie is a text file containing small amounts of information which a server downloads to your personal computer (PC) or mobile device when you visit a website. The server then sends a cookie back to the originating website each time you subsequently visit it, or if you visit another website which recognises that cookie.
There are different types of cookies which are used to do different things, such as letting you navigate between different pages on a website efficiently, remembering preferences you have given a website and improving your overall experience. Others are used to provide you with advertising which is more tailored to your interests, or to measure the number of site visits and the most popular pages users visit.
Some cookies are allocated to your PC only for the duration of your visit to a website and these are called session-based cookies. These automatically expire when you close down your browser.

This website does not use advertising cookies, and it sets analytics cookies only if you accept them.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site, but it only sets cookies if you accept analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, it runs with Google Consent Mode v2 and analytics storage set to denied, so it does not write any cookie or other identifier to your device. In that state it sends Google a cookieless measurement signal (the page visited, an approximate location from a truncated IP address, and general device and referral information) that does not identify you and is not used for advertising.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga, which distinguishes one visitor from another, and _ga_<container-id>, which keeps track of your session. Each has Google's default expiry of 2 years, although your browser may shorten that. Advertising storage stays denied whatever you choose.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, so that we can find and fix parts of the site that are confusing or broken. Clarity is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies: until then nothing is requested from Microsoft. Once you accept, it records how you interact with our pages (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) to produce heatmaps and session replays, and it masks what you type into forms and other sensitive text, such as numbers and email addresses, before anything leaves your browser. Clarity sets two first-party cookies on this site: _clck, which recognises a returning browser, and _clsk, which joins the pages of one visit into a single session. Microsoft may also set its own cookies on its domains (CLID, MUID, MR, SM and ANONCHK), as described in Microsoft's Clarity documentation at https://learn.microsoft.com/clarity/setup-and-installation/clarity-cookies. We tell Clarity that advertising storage is denied, so it does not share data with Microsoft Advertising. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics storage, tell Clarity that consent is withdrawn, and remove the Google Analytics and Clarity cookies set on this site.
We remember your choice in your browser's local storage, under the key systech-consent, so that we do not ask you again on every page. This is strictly necessary to remember your choice and holds nothing else. We ask again after 12 months. Our Privacy Policy explains our use of analytics in full.
On pages that carry our contact form we also load hCaptcha, which protects the form from spam and abuse. hCaptcha may set a cookie to distinguish humans from bots; see hCaptcha’s privacy policy at https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy for details.
Our explainer videos are hosted on YouTube. Wherever a video appears on this site, including its own watch page under /videos, it shows as a still image and nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play. Playing a video loads YouTube's player in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which can store data in your browser's local storage, and YouTube (Google) may then set cookies and use similar technologies; see Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. On a watch page you can tick "Load YouTube videos automatically on watch pages from now on". We remember that choice under the same systech-consent key, for up to 12 months, and you can withdraw it at any time with "Stop loading videos" in Cookie settings. Every watch page carries the full transcript, if you would rather not load the player.
Your Personal Information
The personal information you provide to Systech IT Solutions Ltd will be held on Systech IT Solutions’s computer systems and may be used by Systech IT Solutions Ltd in its business. We may collect the following information:

These companies are contractually restricted from using your information in any manner, other than in helping us to market and provide you with our products and services. You agree that you do not object to us, or such third parties, contacting you for any of the above purposes whether by telephone, email or in writing and you confirm that you do not and will not consider any of the above as being a breach of any of your rights under the Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) Regulations 1999 or the equivalent under local applicable law.
